Dovecote View

Courtyard Apartment

The Courtyard apartment is a two-storey, split-level apartment sleeping up to four people. It is fashioned out of the early 20th Century service wing of Shipton Court, and also includes two of the rooms in the 16th Century part of the house. The entrance into the ground floor is accessed via an exclusive courtyard, taking visitors into the beamed kitchen and dining area, which seats up to six.

Up a winding oak staircase from the kitchen is the book-lined sitting room and hall with a solid oak door out onto an Italianate courtyard. The sitting room overlooks the garden and contains stylish sofas and chairs for tenants and guests. Off the sitting room is a good sized double bedroom, also with stunning views over the gardens, lily pond and dovecote.

Off the hall, there is second, twin, bedroom with an arts and crafts feel to it, which looks out onto the Italianate courtyard. The large bathroom (with bath and shower unit) is also accessed through the hall. Although described as an apartment, this property is more akin to a comfortable and spacious house. Along with an extensive collection of books, there is also cable TV and wireless internet.

This property is available on its own or as a pair with Dovecote View;
together they would make a very comfortable base for three couples or a family wishing to explore the Cotswolds.
